Forlorn Spirits Of Smallville by Terry G. Reed
Artist: Terry G. Reed
Album: The Film Of Eternity
As a forlorn spirit of Smallville
I’m starrying from a hill
at my many incarnations
that became invisible
I’m the spirit of the handicapped
and now I can feel my limbs
Why couldn’t people see me
when I lived among them?
But I’ll no longer cry, or feel that I’ve been denied
as a forlorn spirit of Smallville, I’ll rest in peace tonight.
I woke up today to feel
what it's like to taste
a plate full of food
that the world would often waste
I'm the spirit of the hungry
and now I'm finally fed
I dreamed someone would share
but they turned their backs instead
But I’ll no longer cry, or feel that I’ve been denied
as a forlorn spirit of Smallville, I’ll rest in peace tonight
The base of the cross is a level plane
but through many eyes, never seen the same.
There were friends in my youth
before that I turned grey
My words once held meaning
now I have nothing to say
I'm the spirit of the aged
and finally I found home
Why was I forgotten
and left all alone?
But I’ll no longer cry, or feel that I’ve been denied
as a forlorn spirit of Smallville, I’ll rest in peace tonight
But we’ll no longer cry, or feel that we’ve been denied
as forlorn spirits of Smallville, we’ll rest in peace tonight.
as forlorn spirits of Smallville, we’ll rest in peace tonight.
