The new Dell XPS 13 is a beautifully designed PC from Dell - a company not known for stunning industrial design. Dell has managed to fit a 13 inch 16:9 display into the same relative size as a Macbook Air 11. Really nicely designed display with great image quality with its QHD option.
The Dell XPS 13 is running the latest fifth generation Intel processors that promise greater performance with less power consumption.
However the QHD version does not feature a larger battery as compared to the 1080 version, so battery life was only around 6 hours in my tests doing basic web browsing, YouTube video watching, and some word processing.
Dell has done a nice job with this computer, I do think the better buy is the standard 1920x1080 display vs. the QHD screen. The battery will last longer and the 1080 display will look just fine in a 13 inch form factor.
Gaming was better than I expected given the XPS 13 does not have a separate graphics processor.
