HP has just released their brand new $179 Windows PC that runs the full version of Windows. This is the ultimate low end desktop PC at this moment.
It has a Haswell-based Celeron 2957U running at 1.4ghz - that's faster than all of the other sub $200 Windows PCs we've looked at to date. That means better Minecraft performance, better web browsing performance, and just faster and snappier response time.
It has 2 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of storage, both of which are upgradeable (to be covered in followup videos).
The Stream Mini largely mirrors the hardware of the HP Chromebox, with the same processor, ports, and specs. But it is running Windows 8.1. You can also load other operating systems onto the device quite easily.
In upcoming videos I will detail how to upgrade the processor and RAM, as well as install Ubuntu Linux and other operating systems.
