Medusa is one of the carries who have teamfight ultimates, and to top it off, lots of aoe, so her playstyle is something that I appreciate quite a bit.
Try to get farmed up and then show up to teamfights and do as much as possible. Timing your ultimate is essential! Try to wait until your opponents have committed, and then use it and make sure they are looking at you, if you can help it. Throw snakes at them for good measure.
I think this item build is the best one if you're a bit behind. Sometimes you can throw in a panic Rapier if you really need to, if you're ahead, I recommend a Butterfly.
