The video visor looks like a very low cost alternative to expensive video glasses or a decent sized LCD display if you want to fly FPV RC planes or multirotors on a budget.
The Quanum visor reviewed here probably won't impress those FPVers who've already been using a decent set of video glasses but, at between $30 and $40, they're dirt cheap and might be the only option for some.
Pro's:
- cheap, dirt cheap
- they work
- no blue-screen
Con's:
- no brightness or contrast controls
- lower resolution that most video glasses
- some foam sculpting required to fit your face
- unless you paint "Oculus Rift" on them you'll look like a dork
- Fresnel lens limits sharpness and creates colored edges
Bottom line: If you've got $30 to $40 to spare, they're worth a look and you can give them to others to see what FPV looks like while you're flying with your video glasses on.
