UPDATE: I have received my Turnigy 9X radio from HobbyKing. After several days of farting around with a customer-service rep who has since left the company, management got involved and the missing radio was dispatched to me by EMS and arrived safely.
I will publish a follow-up video shortly but in summary -- HobbyKing put it right!
----
I ordered a Turnigy 9X radio and a few other tiny bits and pieces from HobbyKing a week or two ago and today the package arrived.
Clearly, someone at HobbyKing stuffed up and instead of sending my my 9X radio plus all the other trifling pieces I added to fill up the weight allowance, all they sent were the 200g of miscellaneous bits -- not the main item, the 9X radio.
Now I can understand when an order is missing a mini-servo, a lead or a connector -- but how on earth could they overlook packing the 9X radio which is far, far bigger and more expensive than all the other items combined?
So people make mistakes -- fair enough.
What I now wait to see is how HobbyKing handle this stuff-up on their part.
I don't want a store credit -- I want a 9X radio, delivered via EMS -- which is, after all, what I paid for and what they should have sent.
I also have to ask -- how broken are their packing systems when they can charge me for a 9X radio and the oversized box that requires, plus $34 shipping -- then send a tiny box with just a few accessories instead?
Didn't HK say that they weigh each order before dispatch? How can a box that ought to have a weight of nearly 2Kgs pass inspection when it weighs a mere 245g?

Remember -- it's not the mistakes that create a company's reputation, it's the putting right that counts.
