Walkera QR X350 review (part 1)
The Walkera QR X350 multirotor quadcopter has been pitched as a rival for the DJI Phantom but is it any good?
Although the unit looks very pretty and is easy to set up with the supplied Devo 7 transmitter, it seems that much of that beauty is only skin deep.
Although the soldering in my particular unit wasn't as bad as many I've seen online, the solder-ball that was left on one of the ESC boards could very well have caused a short-circuit on the board and a very nasty crash if I hadn't seen and removed it.
There have also been some serious issues with the 350's firmware and its low-voltage detection system. These will be looked at in part 2 of the review which will also include the flight-test.
