Miguel Luengo-Oroz -- Founder of Malariaspot.org, Madrid
Dr. Miguel Luengo-Oroz is an antidisciplinary scientist working on crowdsourcing and data science for global challenges in international development and biomedical research. Currently, he is research fellow in Innovative Health at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid --founder of malariaspot.org - and the global research coordinator of United Nations Global Pulse -- big data for development- . He is co-author of 25+ scientific publications -- including the journal Science- on quantitative analysis and pattern recognition applied to multidisciplinary scientific research. He has a background in biomedical engineering (PhD), cognitive sciences (MSc), telecommunications engineering (MSc) and he is graduate from the Singularity University at NASA Ames.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
