Hey Playgrounders! So for those of you that didn't know, back in October when they released Arkham Origins, Armature Studio released "Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate" for the 3DS and the PS Vita. The game shares the "Arkham Origins" moniker, but actually is a different game, and takes place after "Arkham Origins." Today, the game is being re-released in HD for consoles as the Deluxe Edition. The cutscenes are in motion comic format, as opposed 3D prerendered cutscenes. The game is a great addition to the Batman library, and is worthy of the inexpensive price tag. Set three months after the events of Arkham Origins, a mysterious explosion at Blackgate Prison allows Joker, Penguin and Black Mask to each gather enough henchmen in order to take over their own section of the prison. After being informed that Blackgate has been separated into three sections: the Cell Block, the Industrial Area, and the Administration Offices, Batman goes to investigate and he quickly learns that there is more to this than your average uprising. Batman also meets Catwoman and others for the first time, and begin to forge a relationship with a young Captain Gordon.
