Red Bull Dolomitenmann 2009 - extended version
Thirty-five thousand spectators watched the worlds hardest relay race in Lienz, East Tyrol, on Saturday, September 12, 2009 as Team Kolland Topsport, 2008 winners of the Red Bull Dolomitenmann, retained their title with another notable victory.
110 teams (about 30 pro-teams) from 20 different countries competed.
Team-competition:
- 1st: mountainrunning (approx. 2000m hight difference)
- 2nd: alpine paragliding (one intermediate landiing and running part)
- 3rd: wild water kayaking (6m freefall start; eskimo roles; downward slalom; upward zones)
- 4th: mountainbiking (hard uphill 1400m hight diff.; extreme downhill)
