Lisa Gade reviews the Sony Vaio Flip 13A Windows 8 convertible Ultrabook and tablet. The Flip is available in 13, 14 and 15 inch sizes and we look at the smallest model, with a base price around $1,000. The flip has a unique hinge that competes with the Lenovo Yoga: you can use it like a laptop, a tablet or in presentation mode and the keyboard keys don't face down and rest on the table as they do with the Yoga. The Flip 13 runs on 4th generation Intel Haswell ULV Ultrabook CPUs and there are Core i3, i5 and i7 options. All models have a full HD Triluminos IPS display with touch and an active N-Trig digitizer, though Sony sells the pen separately. The 15" is available with an even higher resolution option. The Sony has a backlit keyboard, 8MP rear camera, Intel dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. The Flip has an aluminum lid and keyboard deck and is available in silver and black.
