Hobby King Hawker Sea Fury First Flight (Part 1)
I won the Hawker Sea Fury from the Hobby King website a little while ago and decided to take it out for its maiden flight. All checks were done and the plane was ready to go, but with all new planes one thing you have to do before really "flying it" is to dial it in with trims and flaps (if applicable). Flying a new plane for the first time is always scary because you don't know how it's going to behave and you can only hope that it needs minimal trim while in the air. This is not always the case and sometimes once you take it up you have to land it right away to make adjustments. Such was the case with the Hawker Sea Fury. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well on my second landing and my lack of experience in flight and with this plane led to a very rough landing that ended the day's flight with the Sea Fury.
Regardless, I was back out the next day to try again and fly this beautiful plane. So, be sure to check out part two of the "Hawker Sea Fury's first flight"...
