Lisa Gade reviews the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. This is Amazon's new 8.9" tablet for fall 2013. It weighs just 13.2 ounces and has one of the best tablet displays on the market with full sRGB color coverage, excellent contrast and resolution. The Fire HDX 8.9 has a 2560 x 1600 IPS display, stereo speakers with Dolby, dual band WiFi 802.11n with MIMO, Bluetooth, a front webcam and rear 8MP camera with LED flash. It runs Fire OS 3.0 "Mojito" on a quad core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU with Adreno 330 graphics, making it one of the faster tablets on the market. It's available with WiFi and WiFi + 4G LTE on AT&T and Verizon. Fire OS uses Android 4.0 as its core.
