Come along for the ride on our Culinary Road Trip across the United
States. Let's get started with this Hawaiian classic!
Music written, recorded, and produced by Aaron Prim
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. sushi-grade ahi tuna (raw)
2 stalks green onion
1 clove garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1/2 tsp siracha sauce
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1 orange (for juice and zest)
Directions:
Take a large bowl and fill with ice. Place a medium sized bowl inside.
This will help keep the ahi at a low temperature while we prep the
sauce. Dice the ahi into small pieces, place into bowl. Chop up green
onions, mince garlic clove, place in bowl. Grate ginger directly into
the bowl. Take siracha sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, sesame seeds and
mix them thoroughly with the ahi. Zest the orange peel directly into
bowl, then take half of the orange and squeeze about 1 tbsp of its
juice on top. Mix until just evenly distributed. Enjoy and Aloha! :)
