Greetings! We are still busy working on our painting and flooring project. On Friday we went to the commissary on Cherry Point Military Base and I was able to get a huge pork shoulder for 1.29 a pound. This big boy is 9 pounds. I love to go there to get meat.
This is the best thing for my week. We will be able to eat dinner at least 3 times this week off of this shoulder. We had BBQ pork sandwiches on this night and later this week I plan on making either fajitas or tacos and some pork ragout with the shredded meat. I also took a generous portion over to the neighbor because she just got home from the hospital after having knee surgery.
I will be so glad when we get out home improvement project done, and this pork shoulder will help me not worry about dinner for the majority of the week.
