XAircraft MiniX Input Gains Tuning - How to Use Input G or Channel 7 for in flight gains Tuning.
here are some explanations that really describe input gains on XAircraft MINIX flight controller from
from User Questech:
he RC Gains are controlled by a switch or a pot on your TX that you assign to the task and they Do Not change your Gain setting in the GUI.
When you connect to the PC you can change your Base Gains, and they will always remain the same until you go in there again and change them. So they are never going to change unless you actively go back into the GUI and change them to something else.
The RC Gains (manipulated by your TX) act as a multiplier on those Base Gains that you setup in your GUI (details documented in the manual). So when you turn the dial on your TX in a positive direction (depending on how you set up your TX) it will increase your Gains by multiplying the Base Gains by an amount relative to the input on your TX. If you turn the dial on your TX in a negative direction it will decrease your Gains by multiplying the Base Gains by a negative amount relative to the input on your TX.
So you have effectively changed your Attitude Gains, Without changing the Base Gains in your GUI.
The MiniX will remember that setting once the TX or FC is shut off... but here is the key: Once you power on your TX, if you change or have changed the Dial to a different position, That will be the new setting once everything is powered up. So as long as you have your G port connected to a control on your TX, the Gains will Always be adjusted according to the position of that control at any given time.
To reiterate; the RC Gains will be set to the current position of your control, Regardless of what it was when you powered down previously!
Now let's say that you are happy with the way the MiniX is flying and you don't have a reason to adjust your gains on the fly anymore... so you want to lock them in where they are. Get the bird flying the way that you like it, land, power down everything, then disconnect the Gains Connection from the MiniX Or disable that channel in your TX. Now your Base Gains will always be modified by the last position of your TX control before you disconnected it.
Be sure to read the manual about the actual percentages and be aware that most TXs need to have the endpoints adjusted in order to get predictable results. If you don't adjust the endpoints correctly you may experience results that could crash your craft.
From User Rob2160:
Starting with 1.0 - you slide the lever up to increase gains on your TX - you land, it saves 1.2 (for example)
Fly again, you slide the lever up, it saves 1.4 etc etc.. might cause problems over a series of flights.
I think it works best as is. It saves the original Gain set up by software, and the slider makes adjustments in flight as necessary.
