Make no mistake: The new 2015 Macbook from Apple is a luxury item. You're paying for the industrial design. There are faster options available for lower prices from Apple and other manufacturers too.

That said the industrial design is wonderful. the 12 inch retina display is gorgeous, the new force touch pad is amazing, and even the keyboard works despite the razer thin case. Even though it's only a quarter pound lighter than the 11 inch Macbook Air it feels remarkably lighter.
Battery life is great, as is the performance. It handles most work related tasks with ease and will go for at least 8 hours on a charge with those lighter tasks.
That said the fact it only has one port and a $79 dongle is required to use an external device while plugged in is inexcusable. Apple really needs to add another port or two to make this a little more practicable.
Still I am surprised how usable this machine is. I was expecting something cool but impractical. But it's actually quite complete despite being more concept than mainstream product.
