Years ago I had a large scale plane similar to the HobbyKing Bixler series, however I never flew it, it was the Multiplex Eazystar. Today, I went out and flew something large in that scale starting with the Bixler 1.1 and I gotta admit, it's fun and easy!
The Bixler I've chosen is the 1.1 ARF. I've got a Turnigy Plush 25A ESC on board with X6R radio, Frsky Lipo Voltage meter, and Eagle Tree Guardian flight stabilizer. This plane is so stable, I flew mostly with that guardian turned off!...even in the 10mph winds!
If you're looking for an easy to fly trainer to start on that won't break the bank, look into the HobbyKing Bixler 1.1 for sure. Paul said he'd be keeping it around for this very reason!
