Pod Racer hydro review

I bought this PNF RC hydroplane from HobbyKing and thought it might be a good way to dip my toes in the waters of model boating.
Suffice to say, all was not plain sailing, with this particular model having a number of flaws that required attention. Never the less, once the problems were sorted, it seems to work just fine, with a good turn of speed.
Pro's:
- only a receiver and battery required to get it in the water
- a very respectable turn of speed
- so far, nothing has blown up
Con's:
- battery connector was the wrong gender
- motor direction was wrong, out of the box
- had to remove the teflon washer to get the shaft to turn
- no waterproofing of the hatch.
