Well here I am in HD with the latest from RCModelReviews and with more info on RC products.
Not that much to talk about this (not so weekly) week but a first-chance to see how the Sony HDR-PJ760VE camera works in rather difficult lighting. I'm still very much getting to grips with the Sony camera so things are likely to get better than this.
The audio is seems somewhat overcompressed - I'll have to look into that, and the auto-focus doesn't seem to be happy when I thrust things towards the camera but once again, it's probably because everything is in auto mode right now.
Today, a little look at:
1. Another package from GoodLuckBuy.com and this time they got the packaging and shipping right. Two 500mW 433MHz digital transceiver boards that will be used as the basis of a long-range RC system suitable for FPV.
2. A quick pre-look at the FoxTechFPV Horyzon HD camera - Full review to come.
3. The circularly polarized antennas from Circular Wireless have arrived and they look very, very nice indeed. Full review to come.
4. Something good from RCTimer - a very small, very light, very noisy UBEC. I'll be comparing a bunch of UBECs in an upcoming video.
5. Also from RCTimer, a small 9g digital metal-geared servo. Is it worth paying nearly four times as much for a servo like this or are those HK Orange 10g servos almost as good?
And don't forget that the bill of materials for the FPV backpack will be up on the site very soon.
