FreeWing CTLS review (part 2)

So how does the FreeWing CTLS scale RC model plane fly?
The answer: very well indeed!
This model would make a great sequel to a trainer and is very easy to fly. It has a great speed range with plenty of power for "hooning" but a wonderfully low stall speed which allows it to be flown at very scale speeds without worrying about it falling out of the sky.
It is responsive but not overly sensitive on the controls -- although it does like a little power to be kept on for the landing or it becomes too easy to run out of elevator for the flare at the end.
On the day of the test-flight there was a slightly turbulent 8kph wind blowing down the runway but this model handled the breeze with ease.
All up, I'd have to give the flying characteristics of this model a big thumbs up and it has become my favorite "lazy day" model for just cruising around in a very scale-like fashion.
Next up I will fit the optional flap servos and see how slow it can *really* go.
And yes, I *will* oil the squeaky wheels!
