Full Story:
On June 8th, 2015, NASA's Low-Density Supersonic Decelerator (LDSD) vehicle successfully launched via balloon to ~120,000 feet and its rocket was fired. It reached speeds of up to Mach 4 before engines were shut down. Unfortunately for the team, the parachute shred upon deployment in what was described as a "partial chute." Early indications were that the inflatable heat shield worked well.
The video feed down to mission control was low resolution. High resolution video of the flight was stored onboard in the vehicle's "black box" and will be released at a later date.
