Okay, we need to say this right up front: we won't be reviewing the CAT B15. The super-rugged device we first caught a glimpse of at MWC 2013 came to our door courtesy of our friends at Clove (), and while we're planning a special feature video on the device, we don't have the time to give it the full review treatment. Just managing expectations, so you're not crushed later. Be strong, kids.
That said, this is one tough cookie that we just had to take a quick look at. Caterpillar, better known for its tractors, diesel engines, and other big industrial machines, has thrown a lot of rugged ratings at its B15 smartphone, while still managing to preserve a somewhat modern Android version (unvarnished 4.1) in the process. We were immediately taken with the idea of such a beefy device running pure Android and sporting a brand that, while not well known in the smartphone space, is respected the world over for its industrial products. So we thought it'd be nice to show you what comes in the box, from the B15 itself to the most hilarious user manual we've seen in quite some time.
Interest piqued? We thought so. Tune in to the unboxing above, then get ready for more thoughts on this big bad behemoth coming very soon.
