More on excited phosphor LEDs for RC models

I figured I'd show you how UV light excites the phosphors on the RCTimer orange and white LEDs for multirotors by conducting this little demonstration. The reason they've opted to use phosphors to get the orange color is probably for the purpose of maximum efficiency. It is possible to get an orange light from an LED without using a phosphor but I doubt they'd be nearly as bright.
