Welcome to Bijarim Forest, one of the most beautiful parts of Jeju-do Island, Korea.
The forest takes its name from the thousands of bija, or nutmeg trees, growing across the parkland. Many of these trees are over 800 years old, and some of them rise 45 feet over the forest floor. Bijarim Forest sightseeing isn’t all about the trees, though. Orchids and numerous other plants are scattered throughout the forest, often framing the walkways visitors traverse to explore the area.
You can tour Bijarim Forest throughout the year during daylight hours; it closes once the sun goes down.
