This video gives an idea of a shoulder and trap workout. A lot of people ask what my training style is and lately I have been on a body-part split, and my training always changes (frequency / volume).
I always start any workout with warmups in this case mostly rotator cuff warm-ups and very light sets of the workout I am going to perform (not in the video).
Military Press 5X5 - New to this movement but starting to love it
Dumbbell Shoulder Press - tension overload : slow negatives
Lateral Raises - No need to go to heavy, slow and controlled
Upright Dumbbell Row - great for side delts as a compound movement and more natural than barbell
Rear Delt Row - Great compound lift for rear delts and allows heavy weight compared to rear delt fly
Shrugs - really focusing on controlling the weight and the contraction at the top.
