Pro-Line Pro2 First Running video on 2S with ZTW Brushless Combo
Desperate to try out my new Pro2 off road, I headed to my local area for some good old fashioned bashing. However, the track conditions were less than pleasing as rain had turned my otherwise good bash spot into a mud pit. Nevertheless, I persisted and took the Pro2 for a run. Needless to say it got very dirt very quickly and those stock tires where no match for wet and slippery grass (not to mention, it needed a trim). Even so, when it did hook up, it was evident that the front end did not want to stay on the ground and the odd wheelie can be seen in this video. The power from that ZTW BEAST brushless combo has been most impressive so far and there is no lack of power on 2S.
The truck certainly does not fly well in the air even with some much needed vents cut out on the body, but I'm sure the poor quality of the jumps did it no favours either. When it did land right, I could feel those Proline Power-Stroke shocks doing their job and the truck feels planted and balanced. I still feel the ride height could be lowered a little more as the truck has a tendency to flip upside down a lot.
Over all, it wasn't a complete waste of time, but you can be sure the Pro2 will return in dryer conditions for another run.
