Give an RC plane for Christmas?

Christmas is almost upon us and so it's time to consider getting more kids into the hobby of flying RC model planes.
It's a great hobby for the young -- it gets them out of the house and into the great outdoors. It keeps them fit (climbing trees to recover models and chasing their models around the park) and teaches them valuable new skills plus a "stick-at it" attitude that can be invaluable a little later in their lives.
It's also a great way for kids and their parents to spend some quality time together, sharing an interest.
So, if you know a kid that might really get a buzz out of enjoying the hobby -- why not buy them an RC plane for Christmas -- or even just offer to take them out and involve them in the flying you do. Pick up a cheap flight simulator or buddy box and give them some stick-time. You may be surprised how much the love it.
