Lisa Gade looks at the new Lenovo ThinkPad 8, a Windows 8.1 tablet with an 8.3" full HD IPS display. The ThinkPad 8 runs on the Intel Atom Z3770 Bay Trail quad core CPU with up to 8 gigs of DDR3L RAM and 32/64/128 gigs storage. Since it's a ThinkPad it's strong yet it's thin at 0.34" (8.8mm) and not too heavy at 0.92 lbs. It has a micro USB 3.0 port with host capabilities that works with Lenovo's OneLink dock, a micro HDMI port, 2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera. Lenovo claims up to 8 hour battery life and there will be WiFi-only and a 4G LTE/3G option. Price starts at $399.
