The Lab is our weekly office rave up / live stream direct from Mixmag HQ. However, for the next fortnight we will be moving The Lab to the Samsung GALAXY Shoreditch Studio -- a pop up record shop in the heart of East London where Defected Records are showcasing their DJs, latest tracks and back catalogue.
So this Friday, we welcome the sounds of Nick Curly, Yousef and Sam Divine to The Lab. Nick Curly runs the Cecille label, an imprint known for consistently putting out some of the deepest, hypnotic house music known to man. Nick also has close ties with Defected: they released his 'Between The Lines' album last year and he will also be mixing the first Defected In The House...' albums of 2014. His mesmerising sets have also been a regular highlight of Defected's 'In The House' events.
This will be Yousef's third Lab appearance -- he previously went back to back with Laurent Garnier and Dan Ghenacia. For over a decade Yousef has ran his hugely respected Circus clubnight and rocked the world's best clubs. Last year, Defected released Yousef's underground smash 'Beg' and are about to release his new single 'I See'.
Long associated with Defected Records, Sam Divine's solid DJ skills and knowledge of house music has ensured a massive year for her in Ibiza this summer -- where she holds a residency at Usuaia. Sam's previously toured throughout Europe as well as Brazil, Chile and Japan and will fly the Defected flag in The Lab this Friday.
