The Starmax F-18 is known to be a excellent flying airplane with an achilles heal..... a rickety & unreliable set of servo driven factory landing gear. After some trial and error there is now a flight tested useable DIY landing gear system for the Starmax F-18 that also makes the plane flyable from a grass field.
