On Friday May 10 we welcomed two future-facing drum 'n' bass producers into the club in the corner of our office. Both Alix Perez and Icicle are known for their innovative take on d'n'b and their releases on Shogun Audio prove that perfectly.
Belgium-born Alix Perez is regarded as one of the the most exciting electronic producers of his generation. His first LP '1984' went down as one of the best d'n'b records in recent memory and this month he is back to give us an insight into his eagerly anticipated new album 'Chroma Chords.'
His Shogun Audio colleague Icicle is another producer and DJ in the same inventive mould. As well as a number of releases on Shogun, he has put out tunes on labels such as Critical and Renegade Hardware. His talent for infusing d'n'b and dubstep is like no other and has been recognised around the world.
