As far as racing drones or miniquads go, this DYS Lightning 220 is a fail. After two days of trying to get rid of the awful lines and patterning on the video I have to admit to defeat. Not only is the quad hard to work on (with no access to the VTX or any ability to replace it with an "off the shelf" unit) but even the tiny FrSky XSR receiver won't fit inside it.
If I get time at some stage in the future I might rip out the PDB and fit some conventional ESCs, a regular VTX and another flight-controller -- but even then, the frame has been weakened by those routing holes for the ESC wires so I doubt it would stand the punishment of real racing.
DYS... it's a fail. Please use someone with a better understanding of systems engineering and the other disciplines essential to good product design in this field. Those motors and props are begging for a decent frame!
