New Balance Furon Pro Review - White/Flame/Bolt Edition

New Balance debut in the boot market with their new speed range the Furon Pro so we laced up the boot and took it through it's paces. How does it compare to other speed releases on the market?
New Balance have officially entered the boot and speed market launching the all new Furon boot range. The new Furon range enters the speed market and is set to compete with the likes of Nike/s Mercurial, adidas’ X and PUMA’s evoSPEED ranges. Expect the likes of Adnan Januzaj and Jesus Navas to headline the boot range.
The new Furon boot features a modernistic design using three primary colours; white, blue and red. Most of the forefoot is white while the heel and midfoot is red and blue colours the “N” logos, laces, heel lining and sole.
New Balance incorporate their FantomFit technology previously seen in their trainers into the new Furon silo. The FantomFit synthetic/mesh upper is engineered for high energy return and explosive release velocity. In addition an ultralight Fantom Fit cage has been added for outstanding strength and support.
Like the Visaro you will have the option of choosing a standard fit or a wider fit, a never seen before feature to football boots and especially speed boots. A burrito tongue construction has been used while a lightweight nylon outsole with TPU “Acceleration Zone” enhances traction and acceleration.
A Pro-form last offers an unsurpassed feel and unbelievable comfort while an ultra directional stud design is used for unrivalled straight-line speed. A fixed Revlite insock provides superior cushioning and an asymmetrical internal heel counter offers low-profile cushioning of the heel.
