If you have the knowledge and skill needed to fight your way past the CC3D flight controller configuration then the DYS X160 mini miniquad is a huge amount of fun and I was hugely (positively) surprised. Here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- it's pretty quick for a small quad
- the flight controller is tuned for novice to intermediate fliers
- it's a great size for small areas
Cons:
- the CC3D is far more problematic than a Naze32
- doesn't feel fully "locked in" when pushed hard
- the CMOS camera is not good on a cloudy day
- the supplied FPV antenna is crap
- it is not plug and fly (but it should be).
Test setup:
- Turnigy 800mAH 20-30C lipo
- Skyzone video goggles
- Skyzone DVR
- FrSky D4RII receiver
- FrSky Taranis transmitter
