Smart Apes went to the studio to team up with the lovely Elsa Hill to deliver their brand new single on the Black Hole imprint, entitled "U-Turn".
Since we have established that the ISOS sound is in fact a world renowned style nowadays, we can safely state that the new Smart Apes single "U-Turn" perfectly fits the description. For everyone checking out the package, it will be immediately clear that this one is not only perfect for this season on the Balearics, but also for the intimate moments at home and even in the car. Listening to the original version, you can't avoid the marvelous arrangement that seems to embrace Elsa Hill's vocals like a warm blanket. The focus here is not on hard banging drums, but smooth, soft padded synths and subtle percussion. Definite dance floor material, even though it might be on a sundrenched, sandy beach.
The remixes were done by Alex TeeB and Fandy. Both pulled the original apart and put it back together again, creating two outstanding and definitely harder versions for the tech trance DJs amongst us. Don't skip through them hastily, but listen to them carefully in order to hear how fabulous these versions are. "U-Turn" by Smart Apes is one for the tracklists of the big names!
