Deviled Eggs 3 ways: Classic, Bacon Deviled Eggs, and Sriracha Deviled Eggs Recipes
Ingredients:
- 12 eggs (to be hardboiled)
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Classic Deviled Eggs
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Kosher Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Pickle Relish
- Ground Paprika
Bacon Deviled Eggs
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Kosher Salt to taste
- 2-3 slices Bacon
- fresh chopped Green Onions
Sriracha Deviled Eggs
- 2 tsp Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Sriracha Sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- Fresh Lime (or Lemon) Juice
- Kosher Salt to taste
Preparation:
To start, I'm going to take a dozen eggs and submerge them in a pot of cold water. I'm also adding ½ a tsp of salt so I can peel the eggs easily later. I'll turn the heat up to medium high and leave it until the water starts to boil. Once the water boils, I'll turn it off, cover the pot, and set the timer for 12 minutes. This is the fool-proof way to make perfect hard boiled eggs. Peel the shell and enjoy! But not yet - we have to make our deviled eggs!
We'll start with the Classic Deviled Eggs. Taking 4 of the eggs, i'll slice them in half and take out the yolks. In a small bowl, I'll mix the yolks with 1 tbsp of mayo, 2 tsps of dijon mustard, a tiny squeeze of lemon juice, and salt to taste. The acid from the lemon juice will help cut through the richness of the mayo and eggs. Sometimes you'll see people add in relish too. So depending on how runny your egg yolks are right now, just gauge how much you want to put in. I'm only going to put in a little bit. Mix everything together until the eggs have that creamy texture. Fill a piping bag with the egg yolk mixture and then pipe it onto the egg whites. Then I'll sprinkle on a little bit of smoked Paprika for color. And there I have my Classic Deviled Eggs.
For my Bacon Deviled Eggs I'm starting the same way. I'm using the Classic Deviled Eggs recipe but instead of the relish I'm adding in chopped bacon and green onions. I'm mashing it all together and then piping it into my egg whites. I like to reserve the larger pieces of bacon for decoration. And there we have it - the Bacon Deviled Eggs.
And finally, the Sriracha Deviled Eggs, my favorite. I'll prep the eggs the same way, then I'm adding 2 tsp of mayo, 2 tsp of sriracha, 1 tsp of dijon mustard, and a tiny squeeze of lemon or lime. Lime really complements the Sriracha too. I'll season it with a little bit of salt, and mash everything together. Then I'll pipe the egg whites voila! The trio of Deviled Eggs is complete. I can never eat just one so I'm going to have one of each. Which would you try first? Comment below and share this video with your friends.
