Flyzone Nieuport 17 - Loops and Near-Collision With Bicyclist
This is the second flight of my new Flyzone Nieuport 17. I wanted to capture a few loops on camera, since the one in my maiden flight was out of the frame.
I got a few good loops, and then almost hit a girl bicyclist that I didn't see coming. It was a close call and really freaked me out. I'm so happy I didn't hit her!
My keychain camera battery died before the end of the flight, unfortunately. And, after the camera died, I hit the curb on a takeoff and broke the prop. It turned into more than a simple fix, since the prop is glued onto the prop shaft. I now have to return the plane to Hobbico for warranty service.
Hope to have it back in the air soon, because I really like flying this plane!
