RC ADVENTURES - PiNKY gets a BEC: What the Heck Is A BEC? Do I need one?!

Click to Subscribe! ► - PiNKY is back, rebuilt and better then ever! I have decided to upgrade my Wife's truck considerably and bring it up to date. Now, strong, powerful, fast and agile.. there is only 1 more thing it needs. A BEC. What is a BEC you ask? Most GOOD esc's already have a powerful BEC installed.. but even with quality ESC's and built in BEC's, on occasion when you are adding accessories that call for more power then the ESC can distribute properly, an external BEC is required. Basically it is a power Regulator. Many people will say its a voltage step down unit, but can act as a voltage step up as well. All in all, its a power regulator and distribution block. "Our Battery Eliminator Circuits are small devices that eliminate the need for a receiver and servo battery pack. They draw higher voltage from the motor batteries and drop it to a voltage level that is suitable for your receiver and servos. This is required in applications which draw high power for multiple servos or use more than 3S motor packs, as most ESCs with linear BECs are not designed for these applications.
