adidas X17+ Purespeed Tech Talk - is it better than the adidas X16+ Purechaos football boots, or is it more of a face lift? Today, JayMike takes a closer look at the new adidas X17+ Purespeed from the Dust Storm Pack, which is the latest in the adidas X line of football boots. The X17+ Purespeed not only has a new name - to signify that it's a football boot made for the fast players - but also features a lot of little updates that gives the adidas X17+ Purespeed football boots a whole new look but also a slightly better performance on the pitch. In today's video you can hear a lot more about the brand new adidas X17+ Purespeed that continues where the X16+ left off. JayMike goes through the technologies on the X17+ Purespeed to look at the changes. The adidas X17+ Purespeed is still made from a two-piece upper construction with the Techfit sock continuing on X17+. It sits on the inside of the X17+ Purespeed boot to give you a sock-like sensation and a personal, lovely fit. That is covered by the outer synthetic Speedskin shell, which has received an updated texture on the adidas X17+ Purespeed compared to the adidas X16+ Purechaos. Gone is the claw texture from the previous generation, which has been replaced by a new debossed dotted pattern to give the X17+ Purespeed a perforated look. The sole plate is still the same with a new matte finish, again to separate the adidas X17+ Purespeed and the adidas X16+ Purechaos. Also, the upper on the X17+ Purespeed has seen the upper synthetic becoming a bit tighter and less elasticated and foamy than on the X16+, but it's not something that will affect the performance much.
With all that in mind, adidas haven't really changed much on the X17+ Purespeed but only optimised with a few tweaks here and there - and the X17+ is ready to rock the pitches with Purespeed.
