Recipe:
For the cupcakes: (Makes 12-15 depending on size of cases)
200g Plain flour
45g Cocoa powder
2tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp Salt
100g Soft light brown sugar
180g Caster Sugar
80g Unsalted Butter (room temp)
240ml Whole milk
2 Eggs
1tsp Vanilla Extract
For the caramel: Watch how I made it here:
400g Caster Sugar
165g Unsalted Butter
250ml Double Cream
2 tsp Flaked Sea Salt (More or less to taste)
For the buttercream: (recipe from The Hummingbird Bakery)
250g Icing Sugar
80g Unsalted butter (room temp)
25ml Whole milk
a couple of drops of vanilla extract
