RECIPE BELOW: This is a never fail, can't go wrong basic cornbread dressing recipe. It is waaayyy delicious just as is but if you want to kick it up a notch by adding other ingredients such as apples, walnuts, cranberries, sausage .... etc. this is were you start. I wish I could let you taste this. You guys know how much I love the combined textures of crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside .... well this one is spot on! This dressing is so good that the turkey and other dishes are only incidental the dressing is the highlight and I could eat this dressing with a little gravy, ALL BY ITSELF! No matter if you live as far south as Texas or Georgia or as far North as New York or you might be in California on the West Coast or anywhere in-between or around the world ….. you’re gonna love this!

Basic Cornbread Dressing
Cornbread
¼ as much toasted Flour Bread (buns, sandwich bread ….. etc)
Garlic Powder (to taste)
3 tbsp. Sage
Salt and/or Adobo Seasoning (to taste)
Black Pepper (to taste)
¼ cup Banana Peppers
¼ cup Onion
¼ cup Bell Pepper
¼ cup Chopped Celery
2 Eggs
Giblets (add chicken thighs if desired)
Broth (from chicken/turkey)
Bake at 375 for 30 to 45 minutes
