Lytro Camera Review - Camera that never gets out of focus! First generation

Lytro has a unique camera that never goes out of focus. The company's unique technology captures light differently than traditional cameras and allows for focusing to take place in software on a Mac or PC.
Their first generation product is now being liquidated at a number of online retailers, so I figured I'd pick one up for review.
Overall it's a neat technology that does indeed work. The problem with this first generation version is that the effective output of the exported image files is only 1 megapixel. Yes, that's right, 1 megapixel - the same resolution that my first digital camera in 1998 had. So the images are largely unusable out of the camera.
Lytro has focused their current efforts on their new higher resolution SLR style camera. But that one costs over $1200.
