RC SPEED WEEK #9 S.E. - Modified Thunder Tiger ST4 G3
Welcome to RC SPEED WEEK SPECIAL EDITION (S.E.). In this series of Speed Week I test out the cars I have Modified with more power or different power systems than when they were stock. Some will have drastic improvements, others will have slight improvements and some may have none. It's all part of the game - testing different combinations of motor & ESCs with different gearing options to try and find something better within the RC that wasn't there before.
Today we test my rebuilt Thunder Tiger ST4 G3 that's been fitted with a ZTW 150amp ESC and Leopard 4074 2000kv motor. This is one of my favourite RCs and one that holds a special place in my fleet, but this brushless system just doesn't seem to be the right one for this awesome truggy. Speed dropped considerably from what it was in stock form and even though I have geared it up since this video, it just doesn't perform the way I was hoping.
Sometimes these changes work, sometimes they don't... Stay tuned for more.
