In fact it's about the same weight (2 pounds) as the new 12 inch Macbook yet comes equipped with a much more powerful i7 processor and a nice 13.3" touch screen. It's so lightweight it almost feels as though it has nothing inside of it! The laptop version of this device (the non 360) is even lighter, coming in at 1.8 pounds.
This is a premium business computer so there's also a pretty powerful processor inside, a 5th generation Intel dual core i7 processor at 2.4 ghz, 8 gigabytes of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. It performs very well but its lack of a discrete graphics processing unit (GPU) will hinder its overall gaming performance.
My only complaint with the Lavie Z is its keyboard. They made some very odd design and layout choices which were not necessary and require muscle memory adjustment to prevent hitting the wrong keys. They had the room and they should have stuck with a traditional keyboard layout.
