Hello everyone, today baking recipe is Homemade Croissant Muffin or Cruffin. I make them plain without filling, feel free to add your favorite filling by make a hole in the middle of your cruffins. We enjoyed them with blueberry jam. Grease the foil cups or muffin tin before using.

NOTE for my measurements :
1 cup all-purpose flour = 125 grams
1 cup milk/water = 250 ml
I use a digital scale. If you are using a digital scale, please make sure that your batteries are full/new. Old batteries cause measurements inaccurate.
Cruffins Dough (Plain) :
Makes 8 Cruffins
75g (1/3 cup) caster sugar, for plain Cruffins. 56g (1/4 cup) caster sugar for Cruffins with filling.
5g (1-1/2 tsp) active dry yeast
250ml (1 cup) warm milk
375g (3 cups) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp fine salt
55g (1/4 cup) butter, melted (for dough)
125g (1/2 cup) butter, room temperature (for the spread)
Powdered sugar for dusting
Egg for egg wash, if you want to use it

Filling options :
Jam, any jam flavor you like
Chocolate spread, Nutella
Cream custard or pastry cream ..etc
If you want to add the filling, make a hole in the middle of cruffins and pipe or spoon the filling into the hole.
The texture of the final product was soft, light and airy. The egg is optional, as I show you in the video there is different look after baking. Using egg wash, they look shiny and without egg wash looks great too.
I found that baking using muffin tin makes all side and bottom brown evenly. Baking using foil cup individually makes the bottom side looks pale and softer, but they were cooked.
Every oven has a different character, they may vary and the baking result will vary too.
