TV Install Tip: Sending Component Video down a Headphone cable

A short video showing how it is possible to send Component Video down a headphone extension cable that can fit through a 5mm drilled hole.

If you wanted to make up a headphone cable that had component plugs at both ends and you didn't want to solder anything - you could put the following together - First buy a four pole headphone extension cable (like the one above) then add the following:
A 4 Pole Gender Changer (to put on the male end of the headphone cable: (eBay)
2x Component to 3.5mm Dongles (eBay)
Depending on what you are plugging into this lead you may need a short component lead or gender changer at either end - here's a 25cm Component Lead (Amazon UK)
