Soft eggless naan that is so satisfying to make at home and tastes delicious, compliments any curries or can be eaten with hummus or just about anything!
Ing:
4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 cup warm milk
salt to taste
1 tbsp olive oil just to brush on top
Method:
First, make sure you proof your yeast mixture once it is bubbly and frothy it will be ready to add to the flour, add the salt then followed by the yeast mixture and yogurt. Start by combining the mixture and adding little milk at a time and keep mixing until you have a nice soft dough. Hit the dough on the counter about 15 times so it can get soft and silky, make it into a ball and brush with olive oil and cover the bowl until it has doubled in size. Dip your finger tips in the flour and make some rounds then lay them on a floured surface. Once you get to the end you will have the first round puffed. Take one dough ball and just stretch it with your hands until it forms an oval or round shape whichever you prefer. Add fresh coriander on top and leave it for 2 min again this will puff a little. Take some water and pat it on one side and lay it on a hot griddle or tawa then you can pick whichever method you like to cook them. You can use the tawa or the oven. You can choose to just make them on the cook stove or use the oven to broil them. You can choose to brush it with garlic or just brush it with ghee or clarified butter.
Enjoy!
