Pech is a Cistercian monk and currently Professor for fundamental theology at the University "Benedikt XVI." in Heiligenkreuz, Austria and has several teaching appointments at other universities. Before he joined the University "Benedikt XVI." he worked for the Vatican in Rome, the center of the catholic church. Pater Justinus studied business and theology in Frankfurt, Leipzig, Madrid and Rome and is one of the few people in the world combining business and theology in his academical life and research.
