As founder of the leading venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Tim Draper has a laundry list of investments and contributions. Most recently, Draper started the Draper University of Heroes, drawing inspiration for a belief that what the world truly needs, are entrepreneurs who are unafraid of tackling the most difficult challenges facing our world today. Since first venturing into education in the late 90s, Draper has been constantly probing for avenues through which the improvement of entrepreneurial education can be addressed. Following the purchase of the run- down Benjamin Franklin Hotel in San Mateo in 2011, he and his eldest son Adam began formulating the dream that has evolved into Draper University; one committed to preparing the worlds next generation of entrepreneurs.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
